Meet the Staff
Kimberly Red
Director/ Instructor
Miss Kimberly Red has been an avid dancer her entire life. Starting at the young age of 3, she studied under the prestigious Rockette, Betine Winch, where she mastered ballet, jazz and tap. Combining her love of dance with tumbling she also competed in gymnastics quickly becoming a top rated gymnast in the state of Ohio.
During her time as a student Kimberly has performed in numerous recitals and shows throughout her career. During her 20+ years of teaching, she has become an award winning choreographer. Her students have placed first overall in countless dance competitions with opportunities to compete on a national level. She continues to stay current on dance trends by participating in dance classes and workshops. She is employed with the Parma City Schools where she was the former Normandy High School Dazzler Coach. She instructed, choreographed and coached the dance team for 5 years. She is certified in acrobatics through the Acrobatic Arts program which is run by Cirque Du Soleil. Kimberly is also a certified Dance/Hip-Hop Aerobics Instructor. She is an accomplished artist and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Akron.
Miss Kim’s biggest accomplishment is having her former students return with their own children so she can teach them the love of dance.
Meredith Red
Owner/ Instructor
Miss Meredith began her training at the age of 2 at a local dance studio in Parma. She has been a competitive dancer since the age of 7 and has won numerous overalls and titles such as, Teen Dancer of the Year, Senior Miss Applause, and Senior Dancer of the Year. She was also a Cover Model finalist for NexStar Talent Competition. She has choreographed  many National and Regional award winning routines, along with routines that have been named the Highest Scoring dances of the Entire Competition, top overall, and special judges awards. Meredith has attended many master classes and has been taught by, SYTYCD dancers, Mark Kanemura, Ade Obayomi, and Kent Boyd.  She trained with the Normandy Dazzlers for 4 years and became Dance Team Captain her senior year. Meredith is certified in Barre Fitness through ASFA. She gained her degree from The University of Akron in Supply Chain and Operations Management and Dance. She is a former member of The University of Akron's Dance Team and was involved in the Terpsichore Dance Club through UA. Meredith danced professionally with the USFL Football team as well as choreographing for the well known dance studio from "Dance Moms" Candy Apples Dance Center where her routine won first overall at the regional level.
Alexandra Platt Horvath
Instructor/ Choreographer
Miss Alex has 20 years of dance experience which includes ballet, pointe,contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, Ukrainian dance, and dance/ cheer teams. She began dancing at the age of three at Angela’s dance studio, but decided to focus on ballet at the age of 9. Alex began her ballet training (in Voganova styling) under Joanne Hughes Morscher at the Royal School of Ballet (now Great Lakes Youth Ballet). She also studied Ukrainian dance at the Kashtan School of Dance under David Wozniak and Markian Komichak, and became an ensemble member shortly thereafter. Alex concluded her formal ballet and pointe training at Cleveland Dance Academy under Christine Galleti and Paula Devereaux.
Throughout her performance career, Alex has held several lead roles and won several high awards in various dance competitions and showcases. Alex began her collegiate dance career, but decided to pursue degrees in biomechanics/ exercise physiology and dietetics at the University of Cincinnati. During her college career, Alex taught ballet, contemporary ballet, and hip-hop, as well as obtained Zumba certification. Alex has both attended and conducted numerous master classes, intensives, camps, and workshops to keep up-to-date with the current dance world, and was able to study chorographical technique and style.
As a choreographer, Alex has earned awards and been featured for original choreography in classical and contemporary ballet. Currently, Alex is working on obtaining her doctorate degree and working as a clinical researcher by day, and as the ballet/ pointe/ contemporary teacher by night.
